Seasons bleatings! This Christmas gift is perfect for the person who's goat everything. You'll be helping a family escape poverty by providing manure, milk and kids (baby goats!) to sell at market.
Life has improved for Jeanette* (pictured) and her mum Unes since they learnt how to raise livestock.
"[When] I started with the pigs and chickens and now goats, I could see that there is more money coming in. ... If I sell an animal today, there is money, whereas in the past when I didn’t always have money when I needed it.

Goats can play an important role for people living in places like Vanuatu. They provide manure to help grow crops and produce baby goats that can be sold for an income. Goats are distributed to vulnerable families because they are easy to raise. Oxfam Australia also provides training in keeping, vaccinating and de-worming the animals.
