If you reap what you sow, then you’re in for a treat. When you gift these seeds, not only will they be giving a family in India the leg-up they need to start their own business, you’ll be planting warm fuzzies for yourself and your lucky recipient. Get some.
How This Helps
India is among the most disaster-prone countries in the world and each year disasters cause thousands to flee their home, with the consequence that some people are living in absolute poverty, without basic human necessities. Oxfam is working in these vulnerable areas to help communities prepare for disasters and improve food security. For example, we provide seeds and training for families to grow their own nutritious food so they can eat healthily and can sell leftover produce at market.
“These seeds will help to support the family at the household level … we received tomato seeds, bringle [eggplant], chilli, beans and pumpkin, but the priority is family first and market second.”

Or you could buy an early mother’s day gift, buy yourself a corporate gift on your boss’s credit card, or send someone some poo in the post.
